Privacy notice

Who is responsible

Innovasmith Technology and Consultancy, an engineering practice registered in Nicosia, is the controller of this data. For any privacy question, write to info@innovasmith.com.

What we collect

• What you type into the request form: name, company, work email, phone number if you give one, the service and timeline you choose, the call times you suggest and your message.
• If you choose to attach them: the one line summaries of your tool results shown on the form, such as an infrastructure check score and its weakest points. Nothing else you enter in the tools is sent.
• Your time zone, so the call times are understood correctly.
• Standard web server and error logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type), kept for security and deleted after 30 days.

Cookies and browser storage

Without your consent this site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's own storage for three things only: your colour theme, your cookie choice, and tool results you attach to a request until you send it or close the tab. None of this leaves your browser unless you send a request. There are no advertising trackers, social media plugins or third party fonts.

Why we use it, and on what basis

Request data is used only to reply to you and, if we agree to work together, to prepare a proposal and a contract. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, together with your consent on the form. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and free of abuse. Analytics runs only with your consent. We apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to every request, and also the local Personal Data Protection Law No. 89/2007 that applies where the practice is registered.

Who can see it

Only we read it. Two processors handle it for us: DigitalOcean hosts our server in Frankfurt, Germany, where requests are stored, and our email provider delivers a notification of each request to our mailbox. We do not sell or share your data and we do not add you to any mailing list.

How long we keep it

• Requests that do not lead to work, including the notification email: deleted 12 months after our last contact.
• If we work together: the records needed for contracts and invoices, for as long as tax law requires.
• Server logs: 30 days. Backups follow the same deletions within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy in a common format. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect what we did with your data before. Write to info@innovasmith.com and quote your request reference if you have one. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

How we protect it

Encrypted connections only, strict browser security headers, a database that can only be reached from the server itself, and server access by SSH key only. No code from other sites runs on our pages unless you accept analytics.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
